Some Different Ways You Can Construct Wooden Wall Crosses

Across time, wooden wall crosses have been some of the most popular designs.  Aside from being relatively easy to create, many people enjoy working with wood as a hobby.  Not only can  you construct the cross in different ways, wood tends to lend itself very easy to all kinds of decoration.  As an example, wood burning, carving, varnishing, and guilding are just some of the things you can do to enhance wooden wall crosses.

Finally, if you have  board that is wide enough, you can simply cut out a single cross outline.  Depending on how good you are with power tools, you may be able to use a jigsaw to accomplish this. That said, a coping saw will work just as well on most types of wood.

Once you have constructed the wooden wall cross, you can decorate it any way that you please.  Irregardless of whether you want to add symbols with wood burning, or whittle each part of the cross into a design, your design is bound to be unique.

Today, there are also many sanding and finishing agents available to help you produce a masterpiece.  Among other things, if you want to add some guilding, antiquing, or gold leafing, you can obtain the materials in many department stores.  Even though these items are fairly inexpensive, they can turn drab wooden wall crosses into beautiful and elegant items.
